Dress to Impress !

By Shaleeka Dhameja

You have waited all these days to find a perfect date. And now you have met this great guy who makes your heart pound! So what is the very first thing that pops up in your head…..Oh gosh, what I am going to wear?
We all know how challenging it can be to find the right guy, but finding the right dress should not be. So here I am to make you ready to dive into the dating pool.

For starters, do not stress too much to choose a right outfit. Wear that suits you best.
Go for something that is hip and trendy, but not too loud. Wearing provocative or inappropriate clothing risk making the wrong impression. Although your date may be familiar to you, your revealing or flashy dress could mean that you are trying too hard to impress him or her. Wear clothes that are appropriate to the venue.

Make sure it’s not too dressy if you’re only going to the movies. Choose a white peasant top or a sheer tube from BCBG, denim is the perfect partner for something white. But if you’re going out to eat, remember that head- to- toe ruffles aren’t necessary, a hint of feminity is. So a classic dress in silky satin or buttery soft suede is a real scene-stealer. You can pair soft & pastel shade tops with structured pants or skirts or long, flowing skirts with a simple halter top. This is a very classy look. Above all, what you wear should make you feel comfortable.
Also, touchable fabrics not only invite another’s touch, they have the added bonus of feeling great against your skin so you feel pampered and sexy.

To accessorize your look go with simple sober pendant and/or bracelet. This will add glitz without overdosing on the trend. If you are in a dress and have those expensive high heel shoes on, it is a good idea to go with an anklet to make a cool and sexy statement.

Do your make up, but don’t over do it. Your date might wonder what you are trying to hide. Many guys prefer women who look nice and natural. Do not wear too much perfume – Just because you still couldn’t smell the perfume from your body doesn’t mean that you don’t have enough of it. Apply the perfume on your pulse points such as behind the ears and on the wrists and you’re ready to go.
