I know, I know, not everyone is a teen, svelte and luscious as Miss Emaree DeLoach. However, in regards to fashion, the young-uns are always interesting to watch, and very…oh…dare I say it, gulp, fashion forward (not to mention fashion backward, and fashion upside down). Here in Los Angeles in the dead of winter we have white boots (after labor day…the horror!!), a little jumper and some old faded t-shirt. I have to say that the best thing she is wearing is a happy and a bit devilish attitude. Readers, I don’t really care for rules, though it takes some finesse to break them gracefully. Emaree is doing a good job. Her boots are fantastic: ivory with a high but sensible heel and bit of volume that might be vulgar on a boot with too many bells and whistles or overly dramatic shape of toe. These boots walk the line. The pairing with the old T-shirt and overalls is fantastic, giving a low-drama, kid-sister feel to the entire ensemble. Nice work Emaree. Now, that jumper….It’s pretty great if you are tiny and have legs for miles. Me, I think I’d be a little self-conscious…and well, I worry that my upper thigh might sunblind the unsuspecting public. However, I do like jumpers and overalls. Imagine it with stovepipe style pants instead of shorts! This is a trend that will continue, perhaps longer than those high-waisted pants. Brass buttons are a fancy touch too. Lastly, notice what Emaree isn’t doing…no heavy bangles, no huge hoop earrings, no gaudy necklaces…. barely a ring, and I think that’s a hair band around her wrist. Simple. Refreshing. No gypsy-jewelry yard sale on this girl. So, yeah, go ahead take it off, and take a break.
