The most important part of your outfit is a good foundation.So lets talk about your bras.My guess is most of you out there have never been professionally measured, and if you have been measured, it was most likely done incorrectly.For those of you who don’t know, I work in a lingerie store as a bra fitter, so please read on if you have never had a fitting.Here’s the thing, a bra is the most specific garment we wear, but for the most part none of us are ever taught what the measurements mean.There is a number and a letter.The number is a measurement in inches of your ribcage at the base of your breast tissue.The letter is a cup size that is a measurement of the breast tissue in proportion to your back size.Every time the band size changes, the cup size changes.For example, a 32C is a smaller cup than a 34C.That being said, all of you petite women wearing a 34 or 36 inch band, go get measured.For you bigger women wearing a band larger than 40 inches, go get measured, I measure bigger women a lot while I have seen a need for a band larger than 40 inches, it doesn’t happen often.

The reason you want your band to be snug?You get support from the band.If it is too lose, it doesn’t support you.If it doesn’t support you, your breast tissue starts to break down, and your breasts may start to drop prematurely.A bra that fits properly will help to slow down gravities effects on our bodies. Also, bras are made with elastic, and elastic warms up with your body heat and expands.So if it feels a little tight and gives you the dreaded back fat the first time you put it on, give it a chance to grow.You will be happy you did later.
When a bra fits you properly it lifts your breasts up higher and makes your waist look smaller and your torso look longer.Your shirts will fit better, and you will not rely on your straps and shoulders to hold your bra up.
A nude bra is better to wear under a white top than a white bra.Nude blends in with you better than white does and shows fewer lines under a top that is a little sheer.Panties as well…if you are wearing white pants, wear a nude panty.THAT is the way to eliminate the panty lines in white pants!
