So the weather keeps teasing us. It’s raining, and then beautiful, and then warm, but then drops in temperature all over again. What oh what are we supposed to do?? Oh I know! Accessorize!!! Don’t you know that your accessories can make your outfit so much warmer? And don’t forget cuter! Plus they’re easy to stow away in a purse or a pocket so if it warms up you’re not holding onto all of your layers that you shed. Scarves are great. Keeping your neck warm holds in a lot of the warmth in your body. I like a scarf that contrasts with the outfit I’m wearing. This season doesn’t seem to be about the heavy knit scarves as much as it seems to be about the multi colored gypsy and rugby scarves. Don’t forget a hat. Of course this is LA and you don’t need a really warm hat, but even the slightest cover on your head will keep you warmer. You could do a fedora or a page-boy style hat. Boots are another great way to keep warm. Leather boots will hold in the warmth. The higher up they go the warmer they will keep you. And then there are gloves. Just find yourself some cute ones to keep your fingers toasty when the chilly wind kicks in.
Please Don’t:
Go over the top with your accessories. Just do a couple or you’ll look like a disaster like the little girl in this photo. Light layering is key. Again, this is LA we don’t need to look like we’re in the north pole!
