Uhhhh! It’s another rainy day. As I reach for my hooded sweater, faded jeans, and worn out Uggs, a vision comes to mind; Oscar De La Renta looking down upon me in distaste. I drop my shabby hoody and throw my worn out jeans to side and decide to go simple easy chic.
Sometimes even fashionistas resort to the easy sweater and jean look especially in the dismal winter. But get this, simple chic is stylish and just as easy as throwing on that old sweater and jeans. To get this quick easy chic look you can throw together some pieces you most likely have in your closet. Try an easy grey cowl-neck, with a pencil skirt, a black trench coat, paired with black tights and a pair of simple beige heels. This takes a little bit more work but it’s totally worth it because it looks sleek and effortless.
To go for a more rebel chic look go for a simple white tee, a pair of black skinny jeans, a dark denim vest, a long hand made vintage scarf, and a pair of black or brown motorcycle boots. It’s a tough girl look but still very chic.
Or perhaps you just want the easiest street to all out chic especially for the winter weather. This look is your best bet. Plain white tees are easy and can be very chic, whe
ther it’s an off the shoulder, v-neck, boat neck, crew neck they all work. So pull out your plain white tee, pair it with your hottest jeans, throw on a brown belt, and throw on some red flats a la Kate Moss, and you are simple easy and chic. This is one of the easiest looks we see often but most people cannot pull it off as being “chic.” When the right accessories are added like a gold hoop earring, aviators, and sexy bed head you are Vogue ready. Remember the key is simplicity so do not over load on accessories.
Throw out that old grungy sweater and instead wake up tomorrow morning and decided to throw on that old chic :)
