For those of you in the Northeast today know that it’s a dreary rainy day.  Inclement weather often makes getting dressed even harder.  You don’t want to wear anything too nice for fear of it getting ruined (i.e. anything made of suede, satin, or silk).

First and foremost, everyone should be equipped with rain boots! No one wants to be walking around in jeans that are all wet and soggy at the bottom.  Rain boots will keep your protected up to the knees.  I love Hunter boots, they’re just simple, and they come in all sorts of fun colors.

Next, you need water resistant outerwear to protect your chic ensemble. The classic trench coat is always a go-to, anoraks also provide a cool look.  The Gap or Banana Republic always carry these necessary items.

Underneath wearing something relaxed is usually most comfortable.  Skip the restricting or voluminous clothing.  I’d go for a relaxed pair of jeans, with a button-down shirt.

But overall, I’d rather just stay inside in sweats all day.
