This popular design movement from the 20s through the late 30s is making a come back! Seen mostly in jewelry and bags at the moment, with some occurrences on the runway in 2007, it is time to polish those antiques from your family (or the antique store) and wear them with your favorite outfit!
From the archives, try some marquisette jewelry! These are classics that never seem to go out of fashion; it’s always nice to keep some vintage pieces on hand for when the trend comes around again!  Besides the diamond gemstones, I personally love having some color with rubies, emeralds, sapphires, and amethysts. If you weren’t fortunate enough to have these passed down to you, don’t worry, these days they have beautiful replications that aren’t that expensive.
The newer looks inspired by art deco have a lot more color and transcend more into day, large enameled bangles with art deco patterns, large bangle watches, and simple pendants that use brighter colors like gold and platinum. These are great because if you aren’t a particular fan of the darker steely looks of Art Deco or need something that has a warmer feeling for day wear, you can still carry off this great revival!
A purely decorative movement, Art Deco is still seen as elegant, functional, and ultra modern.
